OUR STORY
The Lexington Urban League Young Professionals
The Lexington Urban League Young Professionals, known as YPinLex, is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the National Urban League.
Founded to develop the next generation of civic and community leaders in Lexington, YPinLex brings together ambitious, energetic, and motivated young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who are committed to making a lasting difference in their city.

YPinLex serves two audiences simultaneously.
YPinLex serves two audiences: the broader Lexington community and our members. Through programs like the LIFT Conference, National Day of Service, and nonpartisan candidate forums, we reach over 2,000 individuals annually. For members, we provide programming, leadership development, and direct pathways to service and impact.

As an auxiliary of the Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County, we are rooted in a legacy of civil rights, economic empowerment, and community advocacy that stretches back generations. As a chapter of the National Urban League Young Professionals, we are connected to a nationwide movement of young leaders who are actively shaping the future of their communities. That network strengthens everything we do locally.
