ABOUT LIFT
What Is LIFT?
The LIFT Conference is YPinLex's flagship annual event and one of the most impactful youth-focused initiatives in Lexington, Kentucky. Each spring, LIFT brings together students in grades 6 through 12 for a full day of career exploration, professional development workshops, and direct engagement with working professionals across a wide range of industries. The goal is simple: expose the next generation to what is possible and give them the tools, connections, and confidence to pursue it.

LIFT is more than a conference. It is a statement that Lexington's young people deserve access to the same opportunities, networks, and resources as anyone else, and that YPinLex is committed to making that a reality every single year.

Empowering Youths
Last year the LIFT Conference welcomed 563 attendees, students, parents, chaperones, presenters, and volunteers, all gathered around a single purpose: investing in the next generation. Since its founding, LIFT has grown from a local initiative into a regional model for youth career readiness, built through partnerships with Fayette County Public Schools, YMCA Black Achievers, and other community organizations committed to youth development in Lexington. Year after year, LIFT proves that when a community shows up for its young people, the results speak for themselves.
Last year the LIFT Conference welcomed 563 attendees, students, parents, chaperones, presenters, and volunteers, all gathered around a single purpose: investing in the next generation. The LIFT Experience
At LIFT, every workshop is designed around one of four key areas: Lead, Inspire, Focus, and Thrive. Together these pillars shape a full day experience that meets students where they are and pushes them toward where they can go:
LEAD
Sessions focused on leadership development, civic responsibility, and what it means to take ownership of your future.
INSPIRE
Exposure to professionals across industries who share their journeys, break down barriers, and show students what is possible.
FOCUS
Workshops built around goal setting, academic readiness, and building the habits that drive long-term success.
THRIVE
Programming centered on personal wellness, confidence, and showing up as your full self in every room you enter.
Attendee Registration
