Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ypinlex.org and your participation in YPinLex membership and events. By using the Site, applying for membership, or registering for an event, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
YPinLex general membership is open to young professionals ages 21 to 40. Membership applications are subject to manual review and approval.​
2. Membership and Dues
Membership requires completion of an application and payment of dues, processed securely through Stripe or Wix Payments. Membership status is activated upon completed payment and approval. Membership is valid for one year and does not renew automatically; it is the member's responsibility to renew each year to maintain active status. All membership dues are non-refundable.​
3. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with YPinLex's mission. You may not attempt to disrupt the Site, access accounts other than your own, or misuse the Wix Members portal.
4. User Conduct
Members and Site users are expected to conduct themselves professionally in all YPinLex spaces, online and in person. YPinLex may suspend or terminate membership or Site access for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other members or to the organization.
5. Event Registration
Event registration is managed through Luma. Registration confirms your intent to attend; some events may have limited capacity, fees, or specific eligibility requirements noted at the time of registration.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including the YPinLex name, logo, and brand materials, is the property of Lexington Urban League Young Professionals and may not be used without written permission.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Site and YPinLex programming are provided “as is.” YPinLex makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or availability of Site content and is not liable for damages arising from use of the Site or participation in YPinLex events, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services, including Wix, Stripe, Wix Payments, Mailchimp, Luma, and Pass2U. YPinLex is not responsible for the practices or availability of these third-party platforms.
9. Termination
YPinLex may suspend or terminate your membership or access to the Site at its discretion, including for violation of these Terms or nonpayment of dues.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
