Lexington Urban League Young Professionals (“YPinLex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the National Urban League. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit ypinlex.org (the “Site”), register for an event, apply for or renew membership, or otherwise interact with us.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:

Membership information, including age range, professional background, and committee or leadership interests, submitted through our membership application.

Payment information submitted for dues or event registration. Payments are processed by Stripe and Wix Payments; YPinLex does not store full credit card numbers.

Event registration details submitted through Luma, including RSVP status and dietary or accessibility notes when provided.

Digital membership card data, including name and member ID, used to issue wallet cards through Pass2U.

Usage data collected automatically by our website platform, Wix, such as pages visited, browser type, and device information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:

Process membership applications, renewals, and dues payments.

Register attendees for events and communicate event logistics.

Issue and update digital membership cards.

Send newsletters, event invitations, and other communications through Mailchimp.

Maintain our membership directory and committee records in Airtable.

3. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on the following third-party platforms to operate YPinLex's programs. Each provider processes information according to its own privacy policy:

Wix – website hosting and the Wix Members portal (membership accounts require manual approval).

Pass2U – digital wallet membership cards.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Site, hosted on Wix, uses cookies and similar technologies to operate core functionality and to understand how visitors use the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit some Site features.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share information with the third-party providers listed above only as needed to operate YPinLex's programs. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of YPinLex, our members, or the public, or in connection with the Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the National Urban League for reporting required of an affiliate auxiliary.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including relying on the security measures of our third-party providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Breach Notification
If we experience a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay, in accordance with Kentucky law (KRS 365.732) and any other applicable data breach notification requirements.
8. Data Retention
We retain membership and event records for as long as needed to operate our programs and to meet reporting obligations to the Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the National Urban League. You may request deletion of your information as described below.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may:

Unsubscribe from email communications using the link in any Mailchimp email.

Decline to provide certain information, though this may limit your ability to become a member or register for events.
10. Children's Privacy
YPinLex membership is open to individuals ages 21 to 40. The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
