Am I eligible to vote in Kentucky
To register to vote in Kentucky you must meet all of the following requirements:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Be atleast 18 years old by the next General Election (you may pre-register at 17)
Have resided in Kentucky for at least 28 days before the election
Not have had your voting rights removed by a felony conviction or court order.
If you have a past non-violent felony conviction, your right to vote is automatically restored once you complete your full sentence.

Register & Check Your Status
Kentucky offers online, mail, and in-person voter registration. The deadline to register is 29 days before Election Day. Kentucky does not offer same-day voter registration, so do not wait.
Already registered? Make sure your information is current, especially if you have moved or changed your name.

Voter ID & Polling Hours
Kentucky requires a photo ID showing your name and photograph to vote in person. Accepted forms include:
Kentucky driver's license or state-issued ID
Kentucky National Guard ID
U.S. passport
College or university ID (U.S. public or private)
Any government-issued photo ID from a federal, state, or local Kentucky agency
U.S. military ID

All Kentucky polls are open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time on Election Day. Anyone in line when the polls close must be permitted to vote.

Early Voting & Absentee Voting
EARLY VOTING
Thursday - Saturday before Election Day
Kentucky allows in-person, no-excuse early voting the Thursday through Saturday before Election Day. Registered voters can go to any voting center within their county regardless of their precinct.

Know Your Rights
Every eligible citizen has the right to vote free from intimidation, interference, or discrimination. Kentucky law also requires employers to allow employees at least four hours of time off to vote on Election Day if requested in advance.
