The Lexington Urban League Young Professionals Chapter (LULYP) is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Lexington and the National Urban League. Through programs that range from addressing the needs of middle and high school students to community service projects that focus on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, the LULYP continues to make a significant impact in the Lexington community.

Our chapter is made up of ambitious, energetic, and motivated young professionals of today and community leaders of tomorrow. We foster networking and professional development of our members through direct service to the local community. LULYP members are encouraged to volunteer and actively participate in the professional, civic and social aspects of our city.

LULYP members are encouraged to serve on one of five empowerment committees to help fulfill our chapter's strategic goals and objectives. The five empowerment teams are focused on Education and Youth Empowerment, Economic Empowerment, Health and Quality of Life Empowerment, Civic Engagement and Leadership Empowerment and Civil Rights and Racial Justice Empowerment. These committees are the driving force of our five-prong agenda, direct services and programs, member development and community outreach.

With more than 60 young professional chapters across the U.S., young professionals across the country are making a difference, contributing to the progress of achieving equality, developing as professionals and leaders.
