About the Urban League of Lexington
The Urban League of Lexington offers programs that assist African-Americans and disadvantaged citizens in the achievement of social and economic equality. The chapter was established in 1968, and since its development, the organization has worked to stabilize historically black urban communities that have struggled since desegregation. The Lexington chapter continues to work in the areas of economic development and opportunity, affordable housing, as well as community initiatives focused on youth development and access to education.
